The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is the brainchild of veteran hard rock producer Paul O'Neill, along with collaborators Robert Kinkel and Jon Oliva. Combining a 60-piece orchestra plus chorus with electric guitars, keyboards and drums in a synergy of musical celebration, the group released its debut album, "Christmas Eve and Other Stories," just in time for the 1996 holiday season. "The Christmas Attic" followed in 1998, and two years later the group issued its first non-seasonal recording, "Beethoven's Last Night." They are back on tour for the winter season with this rock holiday tradition.
